The fantasy game for EPL Group A poses a challenge for users to make a team considering the heavy impact of padding points.
ESL Pro League Season 18 is about to kick off on August 30, with the month-long league dividing 32 teams into four groups. Each group will have its own fantasy game, and in the first one we have the No. 1-ranked team in the world, Vitality, housing four gold-tier players.
- You can create your teams on the Fantasy page here.
- 8 teams in double elimination BO3 bracket with Last Chance stage bracket.
- Teams that reach the UB final get padding points for 3 rounds: LB Semi-finals, 6-7th place decider, and 4th place decider
- The winner of the LB final gets padding points for 2 rounds: 6-7th place decider and 4th place decider
- The format heavily favors teams that are expected to reach the UB final and get triple padding points. But padding can also be negative if a player had poor performances in preceding matches, although it can be partially offset by +6 points for each round.
- The status of Vitality as a top 1 team led to all players having a high price. Nevertheless, apEX was affordable enough to be picked by 72% of players, while ZywOo is present on 40% of the teams with $240K price. Astralis, though, has three silver-priced players, despite being a second second-highest-ranked team in the group.
-The users can count on both Season points and skin prizes as follows:
1.Hydra Gloves | Mangrove (Field-Tested)
2. AWP | Hyper Beast (Field-Tested)
3. AK-47 | Asiimov (Field-tested)
